tldr: amazing staff, fantastic hospitality, and one of the best decision we made for our wedding. It's also gorgeous. Sutter Mansion housed my husband and I, alongside our guests for our weekend wedding. Because we had many out of town guests, we ended up booking the whole mansion. Amit and the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. We had several walkthroughs ahead of the big day, and they made sure we were able to preview the bride and groom suites. Since we had a small wedding with many of the guests staying at the mansion, we decided to have our afterparty here as well. Amit and the Sutter staff really helped us visualize the use of space. The day of was magical, from getting ready, to the tea ceremony, to the afterparty. Truly our wedding day would not have been possible without the hospitality of Sutter Mansion. Sutter changed management shortly before our August wedding and the new owner actually introduced himself and made sure we had everything we needed. We cannot recommend the Sutter more! I nearly forgot to mention, the Mansion itself is gorgeous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, quiet BnB. The people were welcoming and available and the lobby/living area was so lovely that after a long day of sightseeing we got a bottle of wine and spent the afternoon enjoying just being there. The breakfast and always available coffee was a nice plus. We would definitely return and highly recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay in the deluxe king room for 2 nights. The Mansion has a very beautiful interior, beautifully furnished with a lot of interesting decorative items and pictures to look at, like a little museum. Check in was super easy, so was parking with clear instructions given with the early online check-in option. Our room and bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and served us a hot tea before going to bed. We also liked the location. For us, everything was in walking distance to great Neighbourhood restaurants in Japan town or the Fillmore District. Places like Union Square Union, SFMoMA and other places of interest were in walking distance as well and we did not need a car for 2 days. Breakfast options were on the sweet side, but we could order eggs any style or omelette. For lunch we enjoyed great sandwiches at the Limoncello deli just opposite the Mansion. A wonderful place to come back.

Fantastic hotel! Beautiful old charm and the food was wonderful. The staff were top notch and always went above and beyond. Super friendly, greater you at the door - treated you like a superstar. The beds were wonderful and we slept so soundly after touring all day. I almost don’t want to leave a review because they were so much more than *****STARS! Stay here if you are wondering - you will love it! I will see you soon.

What a beautiful location and gorgeous hotel. Me, my boyfriend and our dog love staying here. Ash and Krish was sooo helpful and friendly, make us very comfortable to stay. We got free upgrade to our room. Breakfast was delicious. I enjoy every minute of my experience. Thank you guys for making us feel so comfortable. We would absolutely comeback.
