Great place for meeting with friends. Good, friendly service. Excellent coffee and pastries, and surprisingly inexpensive for such a renowned place.
A must! Try and come when it's not so busy for the best experience. Staff is very attentive to detail and makes sure you're getting the best. Atmosphere and architectur is stuck in time in the most stunning way. We tried many items and they were all of the best quality. You can bet that I will be back as soon as I get the chance.
The food was very good; however, the service and organization need improvement. When you arrive, you place your order, but if you want to add something later, they don’t seem to keep track. Several different waiters come by to write things down, yet it usually takes multiple requests to get what you asked for. Installing tablets or an electronic ordering system would really help. The checkout process was also confusing—you have to take your bill and go to the exit to pay.
Anything here tastes great. I had breakfast and chose tamale from Santander. People must try the hit chocolate or aguadepanela with assorted pastries including pandebono and envuelto.
The place has a lot of history, and it's a nice relaxing break from the always busy streets on central Bogotá. The cakes are great and so are the various different dishes, both local and french-inspired. However, the place is very popular and crowded, and people can be very loud. Moreover, the place is understaffed, so don't expect fast service. To finish, we couldn't find anyone who spoke English. For us it was not a major issue, but it's a warning to anyone who doesn't speak Spanish.
